In August 2024, m2r Education and their new Indian education partner, Instrucko, embarked on an pioneering project to deliver English language tuition to a village school in Maharashtra, India.
The school wanted their students to experience English language taught by 1st language speakers of English with a focus on public speaking. The students, by their own admission, were shy, lacking confidence and wanted to be better.
Instrucko needed a UK partner and following an introduction by the UK Department for Business and Trade, a new relationship was born.
Both the Directors of m2r Education and Instrucko knew the task at hand and what was at stake, plus they knew the constraints of delivering such a project.
Cost, technology and infrastructure would prove to be major challenges.
To bring the project in on budget meant some heartfelt discussions with tutors, to get them onboard and aligned with the expected outcomes. Regular power cuts in the area meant that technology sometimes failed too. This was never going to be straightforward.
Up stepped the team at m2r Education. Never one to shy away from a new project, our Tutoring Manager, Vicky and Account Manager, Bobby, brought together a cohort of fully qualified ESL Teachers who were keen to work with us.
Over the next 6 months the tutors delivered over 500 hours of online English language instruction to the delight of the school and the students.
