In August 2024, m2r Education partnered with, Instrucko, a new Indian education partner, to deliver online English language tuition to a village school in Maharashtra, India.
The school wanted students to learn English from first-language English speakers with a strong focus on public speaking. Many students were shy and lacked confidence, but were eager to improve.
Instrucko needed a UK partner and following an introduction by the UK Department for Business and Trade, a new relationship was born.
The project faced multiple challenges including budget constraints, technological limitations, and infrastructure issues such as frequent power cuts.
The team at m2r Education, led by Tutoring Manager Vicky and Account Manager Bobby, coordinated a group of fully qualified ESL teachers ready to deliver online tuition in challenging conditions.
Over six months, tutors delivered more than 500 hours of online English instruction, enhancing students’ language skills and confidence.
Devvaki Aggarwal, CEO of Instrucko commented, 'I visited the school last week and got really good feedback for the classes. The students and teachers had wonderful things to say about the teaching methodology. I think the students feel lucky to have such great teachers and have also written wonderful messages for the teachers.'
Munir Mamujee, Director of m2r Education also passed his thanks. 'It's been an amazing project to be part of and the teachers and my team have worked tremendously hard to ensure a successful delivery. Devvaki and her team at Instrucko have been a fantastic partner and to read all the feedback from the students was truly humbling.'
This project highlights how online English tuition can transform learning opportunities in under-resourced areas, improving confidence, communication skills, and overall language proficiency.
